About LexisOS
Does LexisOS replace my CRM?
No. LexisOS sits alongside your CRM — Zoho or HubSpot today, more on the way — and keeps the two in two-way sync. Your CRM stays your system of record. LexisOS makes it work better with everything else (your inbox, your calendar, your LinkedIn, your workflows). You don't have to migrate. You don't have to choose.
How is LexisOS different from a CRM with email plugins?
Other tools are point solutions glued together at the edges — your CRM, your sequencer, your inbox plugin, your LinkedIn tool, four different sources of truth. LexisOS is the foundation underneath them. Every Lead, every Contact, every Deal, every conversation lives in one unified workspace, and your existing CRM and inbox reflect that same truth. You're not maintaining three systems anymore — you're operating off one.
What's the difference between a Lead, a Contact, and a Deal?
A Lead is someone you're working to qualify — top of funnel, not yet committed. A Contact is a confirmed person you're actively selling to or supporting. A Deal is a specific opportunity in motion — an active sales conversation tracked on a pipeline. You convert a Lead to a Contact when it's qualified; you create a Deal whenever there's a real opportunity worth tracking.
What's a "Person" then?
A Person is the canonical, deduplicated record behind every Lead and Contact. You don't usually interact with People directly — they're the connective tissue that ensures one human only ever shows up as one record across your data. Same for Company: one canonical company record underneath every Lead, Contact, and Deal that ties to that organization.
Can I have multiple workspaces under one login?
Yes. You can belong to multiple workspaces with the same email. The top-bar workspace switcher lets you hop between them. Common pattern: agencies have one workspace per client, each isolated with its own integrations and data.
What does "Action paused" mean?
It means a specific outbound action — or all outbound actions — is currently held. This can happen automatically when you're near a daily cap, when your LinkedIn session needs reauth, or because someone on your team hit the global pause toggle in the shield menu. Visit /system to see exactly what's paused and why.
How do I become a staff user?
That's an internal LexisOS role for our own team — not something customers can request. If you're trying to give a teammate elevated permissions inside your workspace, you want Settings → Members → Role: Admin instead.
LinkedIn, Privacy & Safety
Will LexisOS get my LinkedIn account banned?
We've designed every aspect of how LexisOS interacts with LinkedIn to keep your account healthy. Actions happen at a human pace, from your own browser, signed in as you — not from a headless server pretending to be you. Per-day caps on every action kind (connections, messages, profile visits, follows, comments) keep you well within normal usage patterns. You can tune those caps lower if you want extra caution. There's a global pause toggle for emergencies. No tool can promise zero risk on a third-party platform, but we sweat this detail more than anyone else in the space.
Why do I need a Chrome extension?
The companion extension is how LexisOS reads and reflects the professional information you've already chosen to keep in your own browser. It's a productivity companion — it helps you organize your own workspace into LexisOS so you can act on your leads and contacts from one place. Without it, some of the productivity shortcuts don't work. With it, you get one workspace for everything.
What can the extension see, and what does it not touch?
The extension only reflects information from pages you explicitly open in your own browser session. It does not observe your activity in the background, it does not read pages you haven't asked it to work with, and it does not access anything outside of the professional network domain you sign into. You stay in control at all times — pause it, unpair it, or uninstall it from your browser whenever you want.
What happens if my professional-network session expires?
If the site you're signed into asks you to re-verify — a checkpoint, a captcha, a fresh login — LexisOS pauses the related actions, surfaces a notification, and shows a friendly card asking you to sign back in. Sign in once and everything resumes — no re-pairing required.
Do I need to install the extension on every browser I use?
Only on browsers where you want the LexisOS productivity shortcuts to work from. A common setup: pair it on your primary work laptop. If you have a backup machine you sometimes use, pair it there too. The pairings sync the same signed-in state. You can unpair any individual browser without affecting the others.
Is my data shared with other customers?
Never. Workspaces are completely isolated from each other by design, not by policy. Customer data from one workspace can never appear in another. We've made cross-contamination impossible at every layer.
Where is my data stored?
Your data lives in our managed database with bank-grade encryption at rest and in transit. Attachments and audit artifacts live in secured storage. Backups are taken on a schedule we control and never leave our infrastructure. If you want the security questionnaire details, email security@lexisos.com.
Will my AI prompts train someone else's model?
No. We use leading AI providers under strict zero-retention agreements, and your bring-your-own-key setup means your prompts never sit in our infrastructure either. Your data stays yours.
Integrations & AI
Can I use my own AI keys?
Absolutely — that's the recommended setup. Bring your own OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or Perplexity key under Settings → Integrations → AI providers. You own the bill and the quota. We just route the right task to the right provider.
Can I disable AI entirely?
Yes. Don't add any AI provider keys under Settings → Integrations → AI providers and the AI surfaces stay quiet. Workflows that don't use AI draft steps still run normally. You can also remove an existing key any time. We will never call AI providers without a key you've explicitly added.
What CRMs do you integrate with today?
Zoho CRM and HubSpot are live, fully two-way, and support custom fields and custom modules. Salesforce is on the roadmap. For other CRMs at Scale-tier volumes, our team can build a custom connector for you.
Can I use my own email provider?
Yes. Connect Gmail, Outlook, or any classic provider over IMAP and SMTP — the same way you'd connect a desktop mail client. You're never forced into a sender that isn't yours.
Do you support IMAP?
Yes. Any provider with IMAP and SMTP credentials works — including FastMail, ProtonMail Bridge, Zoho Mail, Yahoo, and self-hosted mail servers. Enter host, port, username, and password; we handle the rest.
Can I import from a Google Sheet?
Export the Sheet as a CSV and import that — Leads → Import → drop the file. We handle column mapping, type detection, and de-duplication. Direct Google Sheets sync is on the roadmap.
Why is the AI drafting messages but not sending them?
Because your reputation is your reputation. AI drafts. Humans approve. Every AI-generated message lands in your review queue at /drafts so you can read it, tweak it, regenerate it, or approve it. You stay in control of every word. If you want a specific step to skip the queue, you can mark it send automatically — your call, per step.
Can I edit an AI draft before it goes out?
Yes. Open Drafts, click any pending one, edit inline, and click Approve. You can also click Regenerate with an optional hint ("more direct," "shorter," "lead with the question") to get a fresh attempt.
What if I need a custom integration?
We've built LexisOS to integrate cleanly with virtually anything. Our Scale tier includes a dedicated success engineer who can build custom connectors for your specific tools — usually in weeks, not months. Tell us what you need at sales@lexisos.com.
Mobile, Offline & Push
Does LexisOS work offline?
Yes, gracefully. Any change you make offline is held in a local queue and replayed automatically the moment you're back online. An amber banner tells you when you're offline, and the sync indicator shows you exactly what's queued. If a server-side change conflicts with a queued change, we surface it with a clear "keep mine / keep theirs" choice.
Can I install it as a mobile app?
Yes. On iPhone, open app.lexisos.com in Safari, tap the share icon, then Add to Home Screen. On Android, your browser will offer an Install prompt. The app runs fullscreen with no browser chrome and feels native.
How do push notifications work?
Enable push under Settings → Push notifications — your browser will ask permission. Once on, important notifications reach you even when LexisOS is closed, on your phone or laptop. On iPhone, push works after you install LexisOS to your home screen first.
Pricing, Trial & Support
Is there a free trial?
Yes — fourteen days, no credit card required. You only enter billing details when you're ready to keep going. We want you to be confident in your decision, not pressured into it. If you need a few extra days to evaluate, email sales@lexisos.com and we'll extend you.
Can my whole team be on the trial?
Absolutely. Invite as many teammates as you want during the trial — they all get the full product. Most teams use the trial to run real outreach so they can see results before they commit. We just ask that you don't sign up under multiple workspaces to extend the trial indefinitely.
What happens if I cancel?
Your data stays accessible for thirty days after cancellation so you can export anything you need. After that, everything is permanently deleted. We never hold your data hostage.
How do I export my data?
Use the export buttons on each module (Leads, Contacts, Deals, and so on). Custom fields export with their values. For a full workspace export, email support@lexisos.com and we'll generate one for you within one business day.
Who do I email for support?
support@lexisos.com. A real human reads every message. Most replies land within four business hours. For security questionnaires and vendor reviews, security@lexisos.com. For sales conversations, sales@lexisos.com.
Where do I report a bug?
The floating Feedback button in the bottom-right corner of the app. Open it, write what happened, and submit — we automatically attach the page you were on and recent activity so we can reproduce the issue. You can also email support@lexisos.com if that's easier.
Where do I suggest a feature?
Same floating Feedback button. Open the Suggest tab, describe what you'd like and why, and submit. Track it on the public-to-your-org /roadmap board, where teammates can upvote and we post status updates. We genuinely read every suggestion.
How fast is support?
Email support@lexisos.com — most replies land within four business hours. A real human reads every message. For urgent production issues on the Scale tier, you have a dedicated success engineer with a faster SLA.
