Setting things up…
Expandi is a standalone LinkedIn outreach automation tool. LexisOS runs the same kind of connect, message, and engagement actions, but every one of them lands on a CRM record instead of a separate tool with no record at all.
The LexisOS facts on this page are cited to our own code. Expandi facts are sourced to Expandi’s own public site as of the date above — pricing and feature sets change, so verify anything time-sensitive there directly. Something out of date? Tell us at support@lexisos.com.
A single-purpose LinkedIn automation tool is a reasonable choice if LinkedIn is the only channel you run and you’re comfortable connecting it to a separate CRM by hand or through its own integration. That’s a real, valid setup for a lot of teams.
The gap that setup usually creates: a connection accepted or a reply received in the automation tool doesn’t automatically become a CRM record with a stage, a score, and a history — someone has to move it, or build an integration to do it. LexisOS closes that gap by making the CRM the place the LinkedIn action already writes to.
We can’t verify Expandi’s current feature list, pricing, or exact execution model from here — that’s the nature of a comparison written without access to run their product. What follows compares category to category, and links to their site wherever a specific claim about them would otherwise be a guess.
| Capability | LexisOS | Expandi |
|---|---|---|
| Core product | A full CRM — Leads, Contacts, Deals — with LinkedIn prospecting and actioning built on top of it. | LinkedIn outreach automation, as a standalone product. |
| Where a LinkedIn action lands | Every action ties to a CRM record’s shared timeline — Overview, Communications, Files, Automations — automatically, on the same record. | Check their current docs |
| How the action executes | A paired Chrome extension calls LinkedIn’s own API from inside your logged-in tab, using your session. Connect and message can also run server-side from your stored session. | Check their current docs |
| Safety caps and pacing | Admin-configurable daily and weekly caps per action type, enforced at the moment a job is claimed — not after it’s sent. | Check their current docs |
| Beyond LinkedIn | Unified inbox (Gmail, Microsoft 365, IMAP), two-way calendar sync, booking pages, team SMS and browser calling on your own Twilio account, and a 30-step-type workflow builder. | Check their current docs |
| CRM sync | Two-way sync with Zoho CRM and HubSpot. | Check their current docs |
If you run outbound on LinkedIn alone and already have a CRM you’re happy connecting to separately, a dedicated single-purpose tool may be simpler to adopt.
A team that only needs the outreach action itself, not a CRM history attached to it, doesn’t need the layer LexisOS adds.
