Folders and file storage tied to your CRM records, version history with a 30-day retention window, and a real in-browser document editor — open, edit, and save a .docx file directly, with autosave and conflict detection if a teammate changed it first.
Upload into folders, and a re-upload of the same file becomes a new version instead of overwriting the last one, with a 30-day retention window before older versions are pruned. Files preview in the browser, and every file ties back to the Lead, Contact, Deal, or Vendor record it belongs to.
Open a .docx file and it loads into a genuine in-browser Word-style editor — not a preview, an editor. Save it and the result comes back as a new version of the same file, exactly the way any other re-upload would.
Autosave
Saves automatically roughly once a minute while you’re actively editing.
Conflict detection
If a teammate saved a new version while you had the file open, you’re offered discard-mine, save-mine-as-new-version, or cancel — never a silent overwrite.
Unsaved-changes guard
Warns you before closing a tab or the editor with changes still unsaved.
Format support
Opens .doc, .docx, .rtf, .txt, and .html; saves back as Word, Rich Text, plain text, or HTML.
Generate a public share link for any file — set an optional password and an expiry, and get every view and download logged to an activity feed. Both the link itself and the IP address requesting it are rate-limited, so a leaked link can’t be hammered for downloads.
Every upload is queued for a virus scan, and downloads are blocked until it comes back clean. A file flagged as infected is blocked outright, with a visible notice. If the scanner goes down mid-scan the file is deliberately left pending rather than waved through, and stays blocked until a scan actually succeeds.
The one gap, stated plainly: if scanning has not been switched on for your workspace at all, a file is marked skipped rather than pending and downloads immediately, unscanned. Ask us to confirm scanning is on if this matters to you.
